Our Boat is named “Loose Cannon”

You’ll be both proud and safe when you climb on board Santa Barbara Sportfishing’s wonderful boat. We call her “Loose Cannon” and she is a great charter fishing boat.

In 2019, Tony flew out to New England to check out a special boat. She is a 2018 Calvin Beal 36. If she looks like a real fishing boat it is because she is and her Maine heritage is evident. 

Loose Cannon, as she is fondly named, caught Tony’s heart and soon she was being transported form the East Coast to the West. We think she is pretty darn happy cruising the coastal waters and docked in the Santa Barbara Harbor.

“Loose Cannon” Safety Features

Captain Tony takes your safety and security very seriously. Although the Santa Barbara Channel is known for its calm waters, Tony is a safety-first guy. Probably comes from his time captaining boats in Alaska. Below is a list of many safty features that are inspected by the Coast Guard on an annual basis.
